Scott Schroeder
Associate Perkins&Will (Denver) Scott is a leader in esports research and innovation having been the champion on two esports research documents that focus on what esports means for sports and recreation architecture. He has also appeared on Michigan NPR’s Stateside program to talk about the impact of esports in colleges around the state of Michigan. As director of visualization for the Denver Studio of Perkins&Will, Scott is a recognized expert in rendering technology and frequently presents firmwide about advancements in using real-time engines for architectural visualization and understanding the importance of creating quality materials for any level of visualization project. Some of his notable projects include the Target Center renovation, Colorado Switchbacks FC stadium, MTS Centre, James Brown Arena renovation, and the Nido & Mariana Qubein Arena and Conference Center. Scott graduated from Purdue University with both his bachelors and masters of science in computer graphics technology. He has published research on using video game engine technology as a tool for architectural visualization. |
David Kirk
Esports Program Director, Campus Recreation Illinois State University (Normal, Ill.) David is a higher education student affairs professional who got his start in esports as the Assistant Director of Esports at the University of Akron where he helped to create one of the most comprehensive collegiate esports programs in the country. He is currently deploying the same model of esports at Illinois State University, with plans to develop and advance a model of collegiate esports that focuses on community, competition and esport industry skill development. David is the co-founder and Executive Director of National Collegiate Esports, a free membership organization that aims to connect collegiate esport professionals, student club leaders and the general student gaming population to help advance esport and gaming efforts on campuses across the country. |
