Justin Caron
Principal Aquatic Design Group (Carlsbad, Calif.) Justin is an accomplished speaker and author. He has been a project manager for more than 200 aquatic facilities in 40 states and 13 countries. He has been particularly active in assisting clients designing projects that are both fiscally and environmentally responsible. Justin graduated from Auburn University in 2003 with degrees in communications, psychology and business management. At Auburn he was a six-time All American swimmer and won four SEC titles and one national championship. Caron also received his MBA from Capella University in 2009 with a marketing specialization. |
Shawn DeRosa, JD
Owner DeRosa Aquatic Consulting (Orlando) Shawn combines his training as a lawyer with his experience as the director of aquatics at Penn State University to help agencies minimize risks and improve safety through consulting services and high-quality education and training programs. He has worked with the American Red Cross on lifeguarding, CPR and water safety programs. He also developed the Practical Pool Management PLUS course, a pool operator training program recognized by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control. He is a recipient of the International Swimming Hall of Fame’s Paragon Award for Aquatic Safety and the Distinguished Service Award by the Association of Aquatic Professionals. |
Megan Pleli, M.S., RN
Aquatic Program Administrator Bainbridge Island Metro Parks & Rec District Megan utilizes her training as a registered nurse and background in exercise physiology to provide a well-rounded approach to aquatics. Megan holds an American Red Cross Instructor Training certification in both lifeguarding and water safety, Babysitter Instructor, CPR/AED and First Aid Instructor, Aquatic Facility Operator and Aquatic Exercise Instructor certifications. Megan believes in creating a team atmosphere that engages staff and helps them train and think outside of the box. The Bainbridge Island Aquatic Center staff were recognized for their dedicated excellence by the American Red Cross in 2018. |
