For 20 years, Chris successfully owned and operated Stevenson Fitness, a full-service boutique health club in Southern California. The club’s success was based on providing an unparalleled member experience, centered on proper staffing, systematic operations and world-class leadership. This success was reflected in the club’s NPS, which was consistently in the 90s (industry average is in the 40s). Chris regularly presents at IHRSA, AB Show, Club Industry, IDEA and many other events. He also sits on the board of directors of IHRSA and the Customer Engagement Academy. |
Ken Morton, MEd, CRSS
Director, Campus Rec, Stephen F. Austin State University Nacogdoches, TX Ken has been the director for more than 10 years and leads a fantastic staff committed to developing a culture of Lumberjack wellness through excellent facilities and inclusive experiences in adventure, fitness, sport and play. At Sacramento State, he was the Director of Recreational Sports from 2001-2010, as well as an adjunct instructor and member of the Recreation, Parks and Tourism Administration Department’s Advisory Board. Ken served as the Director of Student Activities and Campus Recreation at McMurry University from 1993-2001. Ken has served NIRSA and other professional organizations in numerous leadership capacities, including NIRSA president (2018-2019), and NIRSA board (2016-2019). He is an avid proponent of wellness initiatives at the university and community levels and believes that collaboration across all campus departments is the key to making a positive difference in a campus culture. |
Stacey Hall, PhD
Executive Director, Student Engagement & Development, University of New Hampshire Durham, NH Stacey oversees campus recreation and the Memorial Union building & student activities departments on campus. Stacey has more than 25 years of professional experience and is a past president of NIRSA: Leaders in Collegiate Recreation. Her research focus is on student employment, student learning outcomes and leadership in collegiate recreation. Stacey received a bachelor of science degree from Springfield College and a master’s and doctorate from Indiana University. |
